Royal Chess Plus ("we", "our", "the app") is a chess game with online multiplayer, accounts, optional push notifications, in-app purchases, and advertising for eligible free accounts. This policy explains what we collect and why.

Information we collect

Account information: username, email address, display name, and password (stored securely hashed on our server).

Game data: games played, moves, ratings, Daily Chess games, friends list, and in-app preferences (board colors, sound settings, and similar).

Device notifications: if you allow notifications, we store a push token so we can alert you about Daily Chess turns and invites.

Advertising data: Google AdMob may process device identifiers, IP address, general device information, ad interactions, and diagnostic data to provide, measure, secure, and personalize ads where permitted.

Purchase data: when you buy a membership, Google Play or Apple processes the payment. We receive and store the purchased plan, transaction identifier or purchase token, subscription status, and expiration time so we can verify and provide access across your signed-in devices. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

Technical data: basic server logs (IP address, request time) used for security and troubleshooting.

To send optional push notifications you have enabled
To display and measure ads for eligible free accounts
To verify purchases and provide Ad-Free, Plus, or Premium access
To improve stability and prevent abuse

Where data is stored

Account and game data are stored on our backend servers (hosted on Render). The app connects to royalchessplus-backend.onrender.com for online features.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to operate the service (for example, with our hosting provider, Google Play or Apple for purchases, and Google AdMob for advertising) or if required by law. You can learn how Google uses information from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Your choices

You can turn off push notifications in app settings or device settings.
Where required, the app asks for advertising consent before requesting ads.
You can permanently delete your account from the in-app profile screen. If you cannot sign in, follow the support steps on our account deletion page.

Security

Passwords are hashed. Connections use HTTPS. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do.
